We delve back into the realm of the paranormal and deep into historic and recently documented testimony of real monster sightings. We’re going to talk about a few monster reports detailed in the book titled Monsters Among Us: An Exploration of Otherworldly Bigfoots, Wolfmen, Portals, Phantoms and Odd Phenomenon by returning guest author and journalist Linda Godfrey. Some of these accounts are thoroughly described giving a better understanding of the manifestation process and distinguishing ways the human mind is perceiving ghastly apparitions.

Paranormal researcher John Keel wrote in his book Our Haunted Planet – There are things on this planet and around it that are far beyond anything you can imagine. To recognize the full nature of the phenomenon you must carefully study all of the parts. Witchcraft, Voodoo, Spiritualism and Black Magic are as important as “little green men” and bilious giants with glowing green eyes. Once you understand how the many parts dovetail together you will discover that the “invisible world” has exercised a peculiar influence over the affairs of men.

It is true the human eye can detect light within a narrow range of the broad electromagnetic spectrum. Humans have a physiological blind spot, where the optic nerves attaches to the back of the eye. It the visual field that corresponds to the lack of light-detecting photo-receptor cells on the optic disc of the retina where the optic nerve passes through. There are also psychological blind spots and personality shadows that are also worth factoring in when considering places for monsters to hide.

Guest – Linda Godfrey was a reporter, columnist and cartoonist for The Week, a county newspaper in Delavan, Wisconsin and she broke the story The Beast of Bray Road about a dogman spotted around Elkhorn in December 1991. This was the catalyst, for witnesses in the area to begin sharing their reports of the paranormal variety. Several books and 3 decades later, Linda is a well known cryptozoologist researcher, she visits sightings areas and does her own field work whenever possible.
